In 1991 an anonymous brother bought a house on the corner of Marshall and Kerk Street in Jeppestown and donated it to MZB to be used as a musalla/ masjid. In 1995 the musalla was renovated and subsequently Masjid Zia Ul Badr was established and opened by Ml Muhammad Haashim and Ml Abdul Razak of Ladysmith officially opened the masjid in 1996. The masjid stands on the original foundation of the house which was built in a dyke at the slope of the mountain. Alhamdulilah today Masjid Zia Ul Badr can accommodate approximately 380 musallees.
